Are We Ready For This?
because I'm not!!!
I know this is now much snow (or a very great picture) but still it's some and it makes me sad! I love living in Utah because of the seasons, I just wish winter would only come and stay for the month of December (and it it had to stay awhile longer until January 2nd, I'd be OK) So, the snow is on it's way, so I better buy my girls coats soon. And start stocking up on hot chocolate and marshmallows. Good Luck to us all!
ps maybe I'll make soup tonight for dinner. Hows that for thinking ahead (meaning it's not 5:30pm and people asking what's for dinner?) :)

History Homework...really?
This was Erika's assignment for history: " Make a cake or cookie map of the Untied States and Mexico". Then she had to mark some rivers, lakes, mountain ranges and capitols . I'm all for knowing where places on a map are, but on a cookie?
Anyway, it's done and here is Erika's cookie map...
She did a great job and had fun, I guess that is the most important thing.

Look what I did!
I'm not the most crafty person, but I can sometimes copy. This window came from my Grandparents house and I have had it laying around for forever (I even moved it). I have this big space above one side of my sink, and I thought "the window would fit and I can put pictures behind the glass." I was telling this to my sister and she found this blog, about making old things look new and this was one of them. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Now every time I'm doing dishes, I can "look" out the window and remember all the fun times I had at my grandparents house.
(I do have a real window to look out of, but right now the view is of a dirt hill and weeds)

1st Day of School!

The kids had a great first day! The twins love their teachers and Erika did good getting to all her classes. On Tuesday she when to 1st period and her teacher told her that she was missing something on her schedule (some pre class time?), and that she needed to go to the office and get it fixed. So she did and they changed her whole schedule around. She had to talk to everyone of her teachers and get put on the right roles, but she was laughing about it...so that was good. Everyone wanted to go back! Now we just need to find Erika's bus (that's a whole other story!)

All things new...
Today was the first day of school. So I have made a list of "new" things that happened today.
* new backpacks
* new socks and shoes
* new clothes (and things)
* new teachers
* new schools for the kids
* new pencils and folders
* new classes
* new pens and notebooks
* new locker
* new friends to be made!
Erika started 8th grade (I know). I asked her if she was excited and she said "kindof". To which I said "What would make it better?" Her committed was "Don't make me go today, I'll start tomorrow!" It's hard to be the new kid in school, but I know that she will do great. We walked through in new school and she is ready to get make to schoool.
The twins started 5th grade ( I know, again). They were both up at 6:30 am (this will change) and dressed and eating by 6:45. We meet their teachers, and they were happy. Bryson has 3 friends in his class and Brooklyn was on her own, but she makes friend easily. They were both exvited. Last night we were getting ready and I told them I was going to give them a house key, for those very few times I'm not home after shchool. You would have thought it was Christmas! They both asked if I could please not be home today so they could use the keys.
So heres to new things!!! I know my kids will do great!

HOW COME...
I have a few questions, like...
How come kids never take NO for an answer?
How come summer is never long enough?
How come you walk into Walmart for 5 things and spend $100.00?
How come Jr High cost so much money?
How come you have to blast Hannah Montana and/or Jonas Brothers at all times?
How comes we all just can't get along?
How come all I hear from my 10 year old is "Can we go shopping at Justice?"
How come everything at Justice is $19.99 (on sale)?
How come my camera and computer can't get along?
How come I don't get to always do what I want to do?
How come my kids are getting bigger everyday?
How come I have to always make dinner?
I have many more, but I will stop here. If you have answers to my questions, please let me know. Thanks and love to you all!!!

How do you unload the dishwasher?
It is always fun to see what they can come up with... things inside of other things or cups that go small, big, small big, small, or plate, bowl, plate, bowl...you get the picture. And then I get to put it away. It usually makes me smile :)

Two times 10!
Todays is Bryson and Brooklyn's 10th Birthday. I truly cannot belive that they are 10. The years have gone so, so fast. They both are so happy to be in "double digets"/ I had this joke the year they were born that I did not want to have them on Mother's Day. All I wanted to do was stay home from church (I really only had one dress that would fit) and say around all day. Well I only got part of my wish. I had them on Mother's Day (Bryson was a 8"00am and Brooklyn was at 8:01am), but I did get to stay in bed all day long, so that was worth it!
Bryson is very creatative. He love to draw and build things. He love to be outside doing just about anything but yard work. He is a good student and is a great reader. he is a kind and loving boy who would do anything for anyone. He is a big help around the house. I really con't have asked for a better son.
Brooklyn love to dance andbe with her firends. She is a kind person and always has a smile to share. She loves school. She is a great student and I never have to get on her about doing her homework. She is on her dance studios comp team and they wrok really hard and she never complains about the time she puts in. She is a great sister and daughter.
Happy Birthday, Bryson and Brooklyn! We love you, both!
(ps...I'm having a little trouble uploading things today. I will post more pictures of them soon)

HAPPY 13TH BIRTHDAY ERIKA!
Tuesday, April 21, 2009
Well, We did it!
Well, after thinking long and hard, we have decided to put our house on the market. We have lived here for 11 years (Erika was almost 2yrs and we brought the twins home here) We have just really outgrown this house. We are really trying to stay in the area, we love the schools and our neighbors, so please wish us luck. It's scary to do this, and not know what we are really even doing or were we will end up. But it's time for us to move on...so here we go!
this sign (we are waiting for the neigbors
to start calling us...not alot of people know)

Dancing Queens
On Saturday, May 5 our dance studio had a competition at the ESA. Our girls did really well. Brooklyn's class took SUPERIOR (which just means that they took 1st in their age group) and the Premier Team took 1st!!! They get to do a half time at a Jazz game in the fall. Only 5 teams get to do half times (and there was 179 dances) so they are all really excited about that! They work really hard and love every minute of it!

Way To Go!
Erika has been working very hard this year and her hard work has paid off. OnThursday, February 19 she was inducted into the SRJH National Junior Honor Society. We are so proud of her. She never complains about doing her homework and tries really hard in school. She is a good example that hard work pays off.
Keep up the great work Erika!
It's Fixed
