Look what I did!

(or at least copied)

I'm not the most crafty person, but I can sometimes copy. This window came from my Grandparents house and I have had it laying around for forever (I even moved it). I have this big space above one side of my sink, and I thought "the window would fit and I can put pictures behind the glass." I was telling this to my sister and she found this blog, about making old things look new and this was one of them. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Now every time I'm doing dishes, I can "look" out the window and remember all the fun times I had at my grandparents house.

(I do have a real window to look out of, but right now the view is of a dirt hill and weeds)

1st Day of School!

The kids had a great first day! The twins love their teachers and Erika did good getting to all her classes. On Tuesday she when to 1st period and her teacher told her that she was missing something on her schedule (some pre class time?), and that she needed to go to the office and get it fixed. So she did and they changed her whole schedule around. She had to talk to everyone of her teachers and get put on the right roles, but she was laughing about it...so that was good. Everyone wanted to go back! Now we just need to find Erika's bus (that's a whole other story!)

All things new...

Today was the first day of school. So I have made a list of "new" things that happened today.

* new backpacks
* new socks and shoes
* new clothes (and things)
* new teachers
* new schools for the kids
* new pencils and folders
* new classes
* new pens and notebooks
* new locker
* new friends to be made!

Erika started 8th grade (I know). I asked her if she was excited and she said "kindof". To which I said "What would make it better?" Her committed was "Don't make me go today, I'll start tomorrow!" It's hard to be the new kid in school, but I know that she will do great. We walked through in new school and she is ready to get make to schoool.

The twins started 5th grade ( I know, again). They were both up at 6:30 am (this will change) and dressed and eating by 6:45. We meet their teachers, and they were happy. Bryson has 3 friends in his class and Brooklyn was on her own, but she makes friend easily. They were both exvited. Last night we were getting ready and I told them I was going to give them a house key, for those very few times I'm not home after shchool. You would have thought it was Christmas! They both asked if I could please not be home today so they could use the keys.

So heres to new things!!! I know my kids will do great!

HappyBirthday Mom!

I want to wish my mom a very Happy Birthday today. She is a great mom and one of my best friends. She is always there for me and my family. She is willing to help out when ever I need her. She taught me many things, like always buy white towels and always wear blush and lip stick. When I was little I loved to watch her get ready for the day. She has taught me how to get along with people and be willing to serve whenever. She taught me how to cook and bake, clean and so laundry (she told me that these would come in handy in the future, I guess she was right). She is a hard worker. She loves to garden (I really wish I got that) Her flowers look wonderful and she knows what ever kind of flower she has. She is a wonderful grandma to my kids. She always has something fun for them to do when we come over. Thank you for all you have done for me and my family. I love you very much and am so blessed to have you as my mom! Happy Birthday!

HOW COME...

I have a few questions, like...
How come kids never take NO for an answer?
How come summer is never long enough?
How come you walk into Walmart for 5 things and spend $100.00?
How come Jr High cost so much money?
How come you have to blast Hannah Montana and/or Jonas Brothers at all times?
How comes we all just can't get along?
How come all I hear from my 10 year old is "Can we go shopping at Justice?"
How come everything at Justice is $19.99 (on sale)?
How come my camera and computer can't get along?
How come I don't get to always do what I want to do?
How come my kids are getting bigger everyday?
How come I have to always make dinner?

I have many more, but I will stop here. If you have answers to my questions, please let me know. Thanks and love to you all!!!
