Look what I did!

(or at least copied)

I'm not the most crafty person, but I can sometimes copy. This window came from my Grandparents house and I have had it laying around for forever (I even moved it). I have this big space above one side of my sink, and I thought "the window would fit and I can put pictures behind the glass." I was telling this to my sister and she found this blog, about making old things look new and this was one of them. I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. Now every time I'm doing dishes, I can "look" out the window and remember all the fun times I had at my grandparents house.

(I do have a real window to look out of, but right now the view is of a dirt hill and weeds)

  1. Love it! I have a window just like that from gma's that I have done the same thing! Everyone loves the old windows for some reason! I have one that I put bead board on the back side with dried flowers on the inside-- and then one that I use as a picture frame/cork board (it was missing a piece of glass so I put cork board in it). There is actually a lot you can do with an old window that probably would have ended up at the land fill!

  4. I'm a total craft copier. That turned out really cute and I love that it had a family story to go with it!
